Our sunroom at the rear of the house is available for intimate weddings, receptions, and other small parties. Depending upon your setup, it will accommodate 50-60 guests seated at tables and around 85 for an indoor ceremony.

HISTORY:

The sun room is an addition on the rear of the house, and it opens to our beautiful courtyard area. It was one of the many upgrades to the home completed by U.S. Senator Charles James Faulkner II in the early 1900s. Faulkner II did the majority of the upgrades to the mansion including the following:

• the enlargement of the front porch from a portico to its current state,
• the installation of the first (steam) heat system which we still use today,
• the installation of parquet flooring in the foyer, both parlors, and the dining room, and
• electrification (Boydville was the 2nd house in Martinsburg to receive electric.)
